How much does delivery cost?
The Fairy Godmothers operates a free delivery service on all items posted to a UK or BFPO based address. Posting and packing is valued at £15 when calculating refunds - see the Returns section later.Items will be sent by Royal Mail 1st class Recorded post, therefore someone will need to be in to sign for your item. International delivery is available although an additional charge for delivery will be necessary. If you wish to make a purchase to be delivered to an address outside of the UK please contact us using the contact us page.
Can I pick my item up from you?
Yes, we have a shop at 23 Ladygate, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 8BH. If you're in the area we'd love to see you. Shop details are available on our contact page.
Other Charges?
If any other charges are made by Royal Mail to recover the parcel after a failed delivery or in the case of an international customer any custom or import duties, the buyer is responsible for the payment of these.
How quickly can I get my product?
We try to get products out to our customers as soon as we possibly can. If the gown is in the special offers section this can be as little as 48 hours otherwise it will take approx 7 to 14 days. On the rare occasion the gown is temporarily out of stock it can be three to four weeks. In this eventuality we will notify you accordingly.
Do you post to BFPO addresses?
Yes we do post to BFPO at no extra cost to you.
Do you post overseas?
Yes we post to anywhere in the world. Additional postage charges will be necessary. Before completing the purchase you will need to email for a postage cost to your destination.

Is online ordering the only option?
The Fairy Godmothers only accepts orders through the website as this is the safest, fastest, easiest and most secure method of ordering and buying the goods.

Methods of payment:
We accept payment by Paypal which accepts all major credit and debit cards or by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Shimmer & Glimmer Ltd. and sent to 23 Ladygate, Beverley, East Yorkshire HU17 8BH. Telephone (01482) 874077 for more assistance.
Products and Availability:
Once an item is placed on sale, we aim to keep the item available in as many sizes for as long as possible. All of our products are sourced direct from the designers so we have a constant source. Some products may occasionally be unavailable for reasons outside of our control.
Technical Issues:
If you stumble across technical issues when using our website we recommend the first thing you do is run a windows update if you are running windows. This is available from the Microsoft website.
If you are having trouble logging in, make sure that you are using the correct email address and password.
If the shopping basket appears to be deleting items it is probably due to you using the back button on your browser. When you add an item to the shopping cart continue shopping via the menus.
If, when you attempt to pay for the item there is a message saying that your card has expired when it hasn’t, check the system date on your computer as this may be the problem.

Returns or Exchanges
If the gown is not suitable please inform us at info@thefairygodmothers.com within 48 hours of receipt and will expect the gown to be returned to us in 7 working days in the original packaging in as new condition with the original invoice. Please note that when you try on a product, do so in a smoke-free and pet-free environment, keep the packaging undamaged and please don’t wear perfume, deodorant or make-up which can leave a scent or marks on the product. Please keep all the enclosed invoices and tags with your product. Un-notified returns will be returned to sender. Once we have checked the gown over we will offer you a free exchange* or refund less our standard postage and packaging charge of £15.
When returning an item, it is your responsibility to ensure the item reaches us. We recommend using a recorded service such as Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. The cost of the return is the responsibility of the buyer.
* Price differences between exchanged products will need to be covered/refunded.
Faulty or Incorrect Item Received
If we have mistakenly dispatched an incorrect item or the item is faulty when it gets to you then please email info@thefairygodmothers.com within 2 days of your order being received and quote your name, address and the details of the error and also if you require a replacement or refund. We will then get back to you with instructions on what to do next. It is important for you to keep the product in original condition i.e. the condition it reached you. Please note that when you try on a product, do so in a smoke-free and pet-free environment, keep the packaging undamaged and please don’t wear perfume, deodorant or make-up which can leave a scent or marks on the product. Please keep all the enclosed invoices and tags with your product.
Please allow us time to process your refund or to send out a replacement and remember that in the case of a refund it can take up to 14 days for your bank or card issuer to credit your account.
