The Fairy Godmothers are a UK based retailer of wedding dresses, ball gowns, prom dresses, ladies evening and formal wear and accessories. We were established in 2004 and have sold thousands of dresses and gowns to happy customers all over the world, including BFPO. We offer shcool prom discounts to local schools and operate a prom diary to avoid gown duplication. The Fairy Godmothers are happy to give support to charity events and balls, please feel free to contact us and ask about our event sponsorship.We pride ourselves on our level of customer service, and will do our utmost to get your special gown to your in time for your special event. We also offer a dress finder service if you can't find the dress of your dreams contact us for details.

The Fairy Godmothers shop is located on a narrow, historic street in Beverley called Ladygate.  Inside you will find a stunning collection of prom dresses, ball gowns, wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses.  A sparkling array of jewellery and other accessories complement the collection.

The Fairy Godmothers prides itself on quality of service.  

You will not be given the hard sell.  You will be able to try on the dresses without obligation to purchase (or even having to pay a deposit first).  You will not be lied to - if a dress does not suit or fit, we will say so.

The Fairy Godmothers Story

A long time ago, in a faraway land where men speak with a strange tongue (Yorkshire to the rest of us) a beautiful Princess found her Prince Charming.

They were married and soon bore a beautiful son, handsome in the image of his father (can you tell who wrote this?). For many years they lived happily until one day, the Princess brushed her golden locks away from her face and announced gracefully, “It’s about bl**dy time there was some decent flippin’ frocks to wear – a Princess needs stunning gowns.”

And so, following an extensive Fairy Godmother training course in Web design, this is the 21st century, no-one does the pumpkin & mouse thing anymore, "The Fairy Godmothers" was born. Nowadays we prefer to use renowned designers & a little new technology instead of a magic wand -- but the effect is much the same.
